Calibration Technician

The Calibration Technician is responsible for handling customer equipment; functional tests; execution of product calibration processes; and operating test instruments.  This is a full-time position located in Melbourne, Florida. 

Responsibilities:

• Perform visual inspection of monitors and components prior to testing.

• Use manufacturing, test, development, diagnostic equipment, and specialized test apparatus in assembly testing.

• Replace batteries, verify presence of ECNs, and apply Firmware updates as required.

• Collect data to make pass/fail decisions, download and process unit data into computer information systems, report test findings in ERP system.

• Maintain workstation and equipment cleanliness.

• Work cross-departmentally to support the resolution of action items.

• Support, develop and maintain procedures and service instructions.

• Participate in root-cause analysis process and support resulting corrective action plans (CAPA) where applicable.
  

• Handle customer devices with utmost car.

• Work from written and verbal instructions, follow processes and procedures to test and calibrate products.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Perform repetitive, testing tasks with a proficiency in the use of hand tools, test equipment, and magnification in manufacturing environment.

• Possess basic computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office products.

• Competency with equipment testing and troubleshooting tools, including digital multi-meter.

• Understand and work in an ISO 9001 environment with an emphasis on quality.

• Must be a self-starter with strong time management abilities.
