What to do when Humidity indicates a Warning or Alert?

Verify that your humidity warning and alert thresholds are set properly. Default thresholds are based on ASHRAE recommendations that include consideration to avoid mold development. When adjusting thresholds make sure they are set to meet your comfort levels while also able to detect if your HVAC system malfunctions. To change thresholds, navigate to the app settings and select Thresholds and then select Humidity.

Risk of mold development is a function of temperature and humidity. At typical indoor air temperatures of 67F mold risk significantly increases when humidity levels rise above 80%.
